First of all, remember that a home inspector is a human being. I know that sounds silly, but it matters. Each home inspector has strengths and weaknesses, different backgrounds, different work ethics, and other attributes. So it is obviously not like buying a toaster and comparing the same item. Each home inspector is different.
So how can you choose the right home inspector? First, ask about his background and experience. Also, does he belong to InterNACHI (International Assoaciationof Certified Home Inspectors). And of course, be sure to ask about the price.
